As a lifelong Nevada local, I have long believed that Nevada’s regulatory landscape fails to reflect the true scope, expertise, and value that CRNAs bring to patient care — at the detriment to the communities we serve.

The path forward requires unity. With a relatively small CRNA workforce in Nevada, every voice matters — both in advocacy and in the financial support that sustains our legislative efforts. Our strength lies in a fully engaged membership to meet our goals of advancing access to safe anesthesia care for all Nevadans. I’ve already taken initiative to address that by building a statewide CRNA community to foster connection and collective action.

My vision is to channel that collective energy directly into the spaces where decisions are made: the offices of legislators, hospital administrators, and institutional stakeholders. When we educate these decision-makers about the depth of our training, the quality of our outcomes, and the critical access we provide — particularly in underserved communities — the case for expanding CRNA practice authority becomes undeniable. 

Nevadans deserve healthcare leadership that is energized, strategic, and relentless in advocating for safe anesthesia, access to care, and modernizing the regulatory framework.
